from 13 reviewsAs a parent to a 25-week-old, finding ways to soothe our little one has been a priority. We decided to try the 4moms mamaRoo 5.0 Multi-Motion Baby Swing in grey, hoping it would provide some much-needed relief during fussy periods.Pros:1. Innovative Motion Options: The mamaRoo 5.0 offers five unique motions—car ride, kangaroo, tree swing, rock-a-bye, and wave—each with adjustable speeds. These movements are designed to mimic natural soothing patterns, and our baby seemed particularly calmed by the 'car ride' setting.2. Smart Connectivity: The swing features Bluetooth functionality, allowing us to control motion, speed, and sound from our smartphones. This convenience was especially appreciated during those moments when manual adjustments would have been disruptive.3. Built-in Sounds and MP3 Compatibility: With four built-in sounds and the option to connect an MP3 device, we could play a variety of soothing tunes and white noise, which often helped lull our baby to sleep.4. Adjustable Seat Recline: The seat's recline can be easily adjusted to different positions, accommodating our baby's preferences as he grew.Cons:1. Price Point: The mamaRoo 5.0 is on the higher end of the price spectrum for baby swings. While it offers advanced features, the cost may be a consideration for budget-conscious families.2. Motor Noise: We noticed that the motor produces a noticeable hum during operation. While not overly loud, it was perceptible and occasionally disrupted our baby's sleep.3. Stationary Mobile: The overhead mobile includes soft, interactive toy balls, but it doesn't move or spin. Our baby lost interest in it relatively quickly, and we felt a moving mobile might have been more engaging.4. Size and Portability: The swing has a relatively large footprint and doesn't fold for storage. In our modestly sized home, finding a permanent spot was a bit challenging, and moving it between rooms wasn't particularly convenient.Final Thoughts:The 4moms mamaRoo 5.0 Multi-Motion Baby Swing offers innovative features that can be beneficial for soothing a baby. However, the price and certain design aspects may not make it the perfect fit for every family. For us, while it provided some assistance during fussy times, the motor noise and stationary mobile were notable drawbacks. It's worth considering your specific needs and space before making the investment.
This is perfect. Super good quality. Help soo much with baby
Bought as a gift. Baby loves being in it, and manages to keep him calm (and quiet) a lot of the time giving mum some rest time
Little one loves this item.Easy to set upAs described. Fast delivery
This was a godsend in helping to wind twin grandsons with colic. The movement not only calmed but also help to displace wind. Very solid standing , smooth movement and quiet. Feed twin 1 …. Into his rocker whilst feeding twin 2 . Although could be considered a little expensive it was worth every penny during the 3 hour feeding cycle!!
Very good and handy product. Everything as expected.
Absolutely great assistant to any mum! For newborn is easy for them to fall asleep and when they get bigger they are much settled inside and are noticing all the different colours which keeps them calm! Can highly recommend it! Maybe it is a little overpriced but it is worth it in the end.
